Much has been said about the state of education in Nigeria and the need for a massive overhaul in quality and the amount of attention dedicated to it by the Federal Government. Perhaps, in response to this, the Federal Government of Nigeria recently earmarked aboutN95 billion for intervention in Nigerian universities, polytechnics and colleges of education through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.

Nollywood has again been thrown into mourning just months after the death of popular actor, James Iroha popularly known as Gringory. Cassandra Gabriel was taken away by death yesterday.
Cassandra is was popular in the TV comedy series, Face2Face where she played the character, Sisi Carol.
A source told NEWSMEN that Cassandra died after a battle with illness believed to be cancer (br*ast) related. Cassandra hails from Okpuje in Igueben local government of Edo State. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
