Bomb explodes outside a night club in Abuja, no casualties


Scene of the blast last night
A bomb exploded outside the popular Krystal Lounge in the Wuse II district of Abuja around 11:25pm last night, but fortunately no one was injured.
The bomb was suspected to be planted on a tree opposite the lounge and exploded as people gathered around the area to have fun. Windows of buildings around the lounge were shattered and at least six cars were badly damaged in the blast.

A 26 year old Kelechi Duru from Imo state was brutally thrown out of the window by a Thai police officer where he lives in Bangkok on the 4th of June 2012.
However, the embassy of Nigeria here in Thailand is aware of this ugly incident and they visited the scene of the incident but nothing has been done to bring the culprit to book.
This is the 4th person who has been killed in a similar circumstance yet Nigeria did not do anything, to our dismay the following day it was announced by Thai media that Kelechi committed suicide...

His name is Korede Oladeinde and he's been missing since the 6th of June 2012. He was last seen in Ire Akari Estate in Isolo, Lagos. He was driving back to his house in Ago Okota around 8:30pm that day when he went missing.

Falana demands identity of VIP who closed airspace and delayed landing for 30 minutes
Popular lawyer and human rights activist, Femi Falana, has demanded that the federal government reveal the identity of the VIP whose movement caused a partial closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, last Tuesday.
Falana, who was on an Arik Air Flight W3 271, said the plane stayed in the air for an extra 30 minutes after it approached Abuja from Lagos because the airspace was closed.

Nigerian man found dead at his home in Bel Air , Maryland USA
Titus Onuoha (pictured above) was found dead on the 14th of June 2012, on his apartment lawn, in Bel Air, Maryland. He was found lying face down on the ground at his apartment complex and nobody knows what happened or how it happened. The preliminary autopsy result shows trauma to the back of his head and neck. No suspect yet, police are still investigating.

Suicide bomber blown to pieces by own bomb
A male suicide bomber was on Tuesday ripped apart by his own explosive device in Bauchi, after travelling by public transport for more than 393 km with the device from Yola, Adamawa State.
The bomber, now in critical condition at the Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, and closely monitored by security agents, travelled in a commercial bus to Bauchi, concealing the bomb in his backpack.....

4 Fake Pastors, 3 Others Arrested In Kogi
The Kogi Police Command has arrested four fake pastors and three others while attempting to defraud the
public through pre-arranged miracles and wonders at a book launch in Lokoja.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Alhaji Mohammed Katsina, who disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday in Lokoja, said the suspects included a woman.
Katsina said the fake pastors were invited for the June 5, launch by author of the book, a Lokoja-based Bishop, Abraham Bamidele, of the Eagles Kingdom Church.
According to him, the leader of the con men, Pastor Chuks Ingalis, from Port-Harcourt came with a sinister motive of helping to defraud the public to the tune of about N2.5 million, being target of the book launch....

Arik Airline Cancels Flight To Gombe
The management of Arik Airline on Tuesday cancelled its scheduled flight from Abuja to Gombe due to what it described as `technical fault.’
``In order not to risk the lives of people, we decided to cancel the flight, but hopefully, we shall board tomorrow, some of the passengers have agreed to wait till tomorrow.’’
One of the airline’s officials, who spoke incognito, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the plane was supposed to depart Abuja by 11:20 a.m.....
UNN Abort Screening Test Over Leakage Of Question Paper
There was tension at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, (UNN)) on Tuesday as candidates who were already seated for the post UTME Screening were asked to go home.
A source at the university confided in LEADERSHIP that the development followed alleged leakage of the question papers that would have been used for the screening, adding that some of the candidates were already in possession of the papers.

Markson Macaulay, son of Secretary to Delta Government, Mr Ovuozourie Macaulay, abducted by suspected kidnappers in Owhelogbo community in Isoko North Local Government Area on Sunday, has been released.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikechukwu Aduba, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Asaba.
He said Macaulay was released by his suspected abductors at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
Aduba said that the victim was released at Ofoma-Kokori in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
He explained that his release was made easy by the information given to the police by three suspects earlier arrested in connection with the incident.
Aduba said a fourth suspect, a lady, also from Owhelogbo, had also been arrested.......
FG To Create 3.5m Jobs In Agricultural Sector - Minister
The Federal Government is to create 3.5 million jobs in the agricultural sector by 2015.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, made this known on Tuesday at Owode-Ede in Osun during the launch of the Growth Enhancement Support Scheme on Fertiliser and Seeds.
Adesina also said government had set a production target of 20 million metric tonnes of food by 2015 from local production.
