Container on a truck
No fewer than five persons were crushed to death at Pako in Isolo area of Lagos on Saturday and several others severely injured as a container loaded with goods fell off a truck at the Plank market in the area.
According to reports, the truck which was heading to Okota area of the state from Ikotun, was descending the Oke-afa bridge when the driver suddenly lost control of the brakes and fell at the sideway.
Eyewitness account said desperate attempts by the driver to control the truck proved abortive and in the process.
